Ormolu French Center Door Knob with Backplate

This Ormolu French Center Door Knob with back plate is made of solid brass. Ormolu is the term used to describe gilt brass on decorative art objects from the 18th and 19th centuries. This knob measures 4 1/2 inches in diameter with a projection of 3 1/4 inches. The back plate measures 6 /12 inches in diameter.
