French Empire Era Mirror From Versailles, France

This fantastic French Empire mirror came to us directly from Versailles, France. It is estimated to be from the 1850 to 1895 period. For the age, it is in fantastic condition. The back of the mirror was given new supports (using custom made brass and wood). The top relief of the mirror is a separate piece.

Measures (Approximate): Overall: 51 inches by 33 inches, Left Relief: 21 inches by 5 inches, Right Relief 20 inches by 5 inches

Provenance: Versailles, France

Condition: Overall, excellent. There is damage to the corner relief (bottom, left) where a small piece is missing. Some parts of the wood have very old damage (the wood has aged) and small areas show bowing within the wood.
