Do you know what we dislike about most 'ring' door knockers? The metal is cheap and they feel cheap in the hands of your friends when the come to greet you. This Ring door knocker is made from solid brass and the ring feels nice and solid. Each knocker is made from solid brass and they are made the old fashioned way. We pour molten brass into highly detailed sand cast molds - and then grind and polish the pieces by hand. The stems are made from solid brass and hand-turned on a lathe. The wall mount screws are solid steel - just like they were made a hundred years ago.

It looks well made because it is well made - and it certainly has curb appeal. Constructed from solid brass and hand finished.

Each knocker measures 4 inch in diameter with a 1 inch projection when ring is pulled straight out. The base measures 1 7/8 in diameter. The center to center distance from the knocker to the strike is 3 1/2 inches - but note that this can be flexible up to 1/2 inch in either direction if you don't mind the knocker striking the strike plate slightly off-center.
